Mukkabaaz premieres at Toronto Film Fetival

Anurag Kashyap’s film The Brawler (Mukkabaaz), which revolves around the struggles of a boxer from a lower-caste, has premiered at the 42nd Toronto International Film Festival. It's action packed and dramatic film shot at Varanasi, Bareilly and Lucknow.  

"I've had the script with me since 2013, I tried to peddle it without success until Anurag offered to helm the film provided that I could shape into a boxer," actor Vineet Kumar Singh says during a chat with PTI

Kashyap, introducing the film on Tuesday, said lightly to the audience: “We are the second most populous country in the world, but we don’t end up doing much in sports.”
